The Golf School Term Junior Program was designed to offer parents a holistic, structured and measured pathway for their children to participate and learn the game of golf. There are six chapters throughout the school term program. Each Chapter will cover mixture of practical & theory based skills. The difficulty & complexity of the content is matched according to Chapter Levels and needs of the students.
Health – Physical exercies & games to improve your child’s strength, mobility & co-ordination and Nutrition awareness to enhance their performance achieved with their golf development
Core Values – We feel it is paramount that children become aware of the choices available to them, and the resulting consequences. Teaching Children to be respectful of others, property & themselves will allow them to maximise their golfing potential & be better human beings.
Technical – The children will be exposes, experience and enhance each of the necessary technical swing motions required to play the game of golf.
Golf Theory – This covers many things such as time management on the golf course, rules & ettiqute when playing the game, how to practise effectively, using a score card and much more.
Chapter & Program Length
Below communicates the Chapter & Program length, and our reasons for doing so.
Learning Chapters – Each term is ran over a 8 week block, split into 8 x 1 hour consecutive classes. School terms range between 9-12 weeks, hence an 8 week Chapter allows us a little ‘wriggle’ room to accommodate students leaving early/arriving back late from holidays.
Program Length – is anticipated between 6-9 school terms (1.5 – 2 years) the duration is influenced by your child’s input, focus & ability to reach & exceed each Chapters Performance objectives & Assessment criteria.
Each Chapter has clearly defined performance objectives that the students are required to achieve to be eligible to progress onto the next learning Chapter. As your child progresses through the Chapters, the ‘pass mark’ and/or difficultly increases. Assessments are done typically in the last class of Chapter and once again are focused around Health, Behaviour, Technical and Golf Theory using a mixture of practical, written, discussion assessment styles.
