My Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is to create a positive environment that facilitates learning, growth and performance. My focus is to apply a player-centred approach for the golf development of the individual.

This approach focuses on your needs so you can take ownership of your learning and performance. My goal is to help you achieve your goals.

I believe communication and mutual understanding is key in helping you reach your short and long term goals. I will never assume what you want, but will always listen and work together with you to achieve your goals.

I will ensure we develop a plan and use it to facilitate your learning for attaining your goals. I believe it is important for you to be able to ask questions and voice your opinion to further help you learn and understand the process to enhance your self-awareness for self-sufficiency. I will tailor methods and resources for you to guide and support you on this journey.


In the past 5 years, I have extensively studied, conducted and produced research in the field of Golf Strength and Conditioning. In 2017, I conducted and produced experimental research in the field of Golf Strength and conditioning for my Master’s Thesis to specially create a golf specific training programme to improve female golfers’ driving distance. In which I have successfully improved female golfers’ driving distance and neuromuscular characteristics (production of upper and lower body rotational power) by using golf specific training programme.

The 3 years of experience as a personal trainer has allowed me to understand how to tailor training programmes to each and every individual who has widely variant goals. The knowledge I’ve obtained from my Master’s Degree as a Golf Strength and Conditioning Coach can provide you with means to improve your physical fitness both on and off the golf course. I am now based at Takapuna Driving Range as part of the fore GOLF team, I am currently a NZPGA gateway trainee and will start my NZPGA trainee in 2019. I am excited to continue learning as a golf coach and to integrate my knowledge as a golf strength and conditioning coach to help you reach your goals.
